Starting Trouble....

My last blog was in July 2007. I got quite lazy after that to put something here. Now my project have come to an end and it seems I may have some free time for the next 2-3 months , so thought of blogging again.

To do so I had to overcome this  opportunity killer phenomenon called  "Starting Trouble"

"Starting Trouble" -  feeling which pulls us back from starting/doing an activity even though our intelligence urges us to do it.

We have seen it in different forms & situations in our life like ,

1.Remember that day in college when u first met a girl of your choice and this "Starting Trouble" stopped you from asking her name and even worse you did not even open your mouth (was obviously waiting for her to tell Hi first).

2.Even though you know that you are 85Kgs & 5Ft tall and your parents , friends , doctor everyone urges you to go to gym , this "Starting Trouble" successfully stops you.

3.Your manager is pushing you document the learning and you are still waiting for the dead line , Isn't the same "Starting Trouble" here?

After writing till here , I have a feeling that I have overcome the "Starting Trouble" and you ppl can expect to see more from me soon...

Your comments are welcome and if you have more interesting instances  for "Starting Trouble" please post.... don't let "Starting Trouble" stop you

A phiLiPinO diArY part 1..

for ppl who don't know where i am right now....let me start with an introduction....

i am working for cypress semiconductors...and we make a lot of chips....my divison makes PSoCs..programmable system on Chip..it can be considered as a very advanced version of a microcontroller ,with more flexibility ,more powerful....for those who are interested in knowing more just go to
http://psoc.cypress.com/....
or search it in google...one last piece of info Cypress is the only one making PSoCs..and it is really BIG.......

So one of the PSoC products - specifically for CapSense applications is being made and tested in philippines..CapSense is the feature which Apple Ipod uses to prop out the menus wen u touch the roller or for that matter most of the touch sensitive mobile phone uses ...
PS: and most of them uses Cypress PSoC for that....

So my chip is having some production issues here..so my manager called me and said..."Prince go to philippines..solve the problem and come back.." i replied...no way....

Hmm..then we discussed and reached in an agreement...i will go to philippines and will study and will say wat all needs to be done to solve the issues and will be back to india in 2 weeks or maximum 3 weeks...

As per the plan i reached Philippines on July 1st...my first abroad trip..so lot of new things..can write a whole essay on that..will do it in another blog..

Everything went according to the plan..for the first week..nice hotel to stay..room is in the 18th floor..so it s a splendid view in the night....well the travel of 1hr from hotel to office was an issue...but wen u have a Honda civic waiting for u always ,u can ADJUST....hi hihihii

And as a boon there was only 4 working days im my first week in CML(Cypress manufacturing ,in philippines)..we had an outing ...helped a lot to meet the ppl in CML and understand them...

PS: for all those interested in seeing my Pics from philippines ..check the link
http://picasaweb.google.com/princethachil/PhilippineesTrip

Pinne saying about the climate here....it is very hot and humid...very similar to south india..only has two seasons - summer and rainy...

Now it is raining here and unlike Bangalore..road doesn't get waterlogged so easily....but wen it rains ,it rains heavily..no brizzles...

Again one thing which stands out here is the traffic discipline...they follw the lane..uses indicator wen switching lanes...looks into the side view mirror....and above all they care for pedestrians....if an Indian comes here he would love to drive...we will see a lot of space...ha ha hahaha...we all know how we drive there...another major difference is very less no of bikes...so tat also makes the traffic smooth..the trucks are not allowed to run during the day even in free ways...

Now about the people....people are very friendly..tagalok is their language....they mixes it with english ...girls are very beautifulll :))...more or less like an american culture ( not sure abt the american culture ,comparison with wat we see in movies)...very casual in dressing..another thing is they look very young..even a 30yr old guy will look like a 21yrs indian...may be something with the climate..

As far as i have experienced they are a little slow in thinking process..if u suddenly change a discussion topic..most of the times u will lose them...it is a little difficult to get a time schedule from them for work..they will say " i will do it" and wud prefer to keep the time limit open...but very hardworking..so most of the time that is not an issue..

More about ppl ....they have the habit of brushing after their each meal...they start working early in the day ,like 8 am and go home by 5pm...enjoy drinking Ice teas...snacks will be always there in the working table...and eats a lot of pork, fish and beaf...drinks a lot of water..

I enjoyed the food here...lot of beaf and pork..only issue is they are not spicy..needs to mix a lot of chilly sauce to suit my taste...

The people here are very friendly...and they are very open...if you speak to a guy for 10 or 15 minutes ,he would have definitely asked u " Are u single or married ?? " ..." wat do u think about the gals in philippines ? "....

basketball is their favourite sport..they also love volleyball ,golf,snookers....

The beEr is pretty cheap over here ..25pesos (45 pesos = 40 rupees) :))

Their main mode of transport is "Jeepney ..an extended jeep which can seat some 20ppl )..they also have tricycles ( recollect veerus bike from sholay)...in which officialy 4ppl are supposed to seat ,but u can find as much as 7 or 8...just like our autos...

now about the places i visited here...i have seen a couple of shopping malls ,a resort and a volcano/hill station..

the malls are very very big....almost four time sthe size of "garuda mall " in banglore ...
the resort is very similar to wat we find in india....

Now about the volcano..the place is called "tagaytay "..it is an active volcano..couldnot go near it and see...but i enjoyed watever i saw...u can find the pics in above given picasa link..

So people this makes the part1 ....with more infos and more "visheshams " ---- part2

PS:will try to make part2 more witty and funny..this one was pretty serious...

Whether to fall in love or not ??

this is about love life !!!

all of us at some point of time have longed for aGF !!! but many of us were unsucessful in our attempts..the reasons are many... u dint have the courage to tell the girl..the girl rejected u....the girl was already having a BF etc..

but in this am not going to discuss abt the reasons, but its about the ways to lead a love life..ppl who r having GF/BFs will be able to understand this discussion better..but others also read, coz it may help u in the future..

i will explain the scenario first..u saw a girl, u had a big crush on her..u told her about that..
she said some NOs, after some can't we remain as gud friends questions..finally she agrees...

then starts the story..
after she told yes to u....there s some change !!!
{i dont know whether it s same with gals, whether they also take this U turn ,readers can pour in their experiences so tat i can get an idea}...

till a gal says yes..we have a lot of time to call her, to take her out, to help her in the class work etc...

once she says yes the story takes a U turn...

1st way
according to him he needs to play cricket everyday,he cant speak to her wen he s with his friends,he needs to spend time with his hostelmates during nite etc...

but y he dint do all these things wen he was trying to get an yes from the girl ..

if girl asks the same question even by mistake then comes the master blaster answer " cant u love me for wat i am "....

then starts the problems..the girl is very sad(readers can suggest a better word),coz she s not getting wat she expected, but she s not sure how to react, coz she is more attached to the guy than the other ...

i had a discussion about this with some of my friends, they also shared the same view point of the guy..why cant she accept him as he is?

lets think that she accepts him as he is,but then starts the real battle !!

both of them are not ready to change ,they want to stick to their habits...guy wanna eat chineese everyday whereas gal is not ready to sacrifice her tandoori roti ..gal expects long nite calls ,but guy cant miss his WWE...

ths goes on like this for some period and finally they reach a point where they are unable to adjust and they say goodbye........{very few ppl manage to carry this through out their life}..

2nd way
but wat am advising is another way..the way of change...

my point is y dont both change to suit each others habits..y cant any1 of them give up his WWE or chineese..
it might be difficult..but not impossible.
but the results are wonderful.. the gal will support u like anything, will love u like anything..
wat every1 should understand is that love also means sacrifice !!

if the 2nd way is not acceptable to u,then dont go for this...unless u r ready to do sacrifices dont go for a gal..by doing that u will be ruining both ppls life....

both of u wont be able to enjoy the wonderful years of youth !!

Meeting GOD !!!

lemme start this by asking a question

" Whats the difference between u meeting god and god meeting you ??"

Before starting the discussion i would like to define "My GOD "..for me god is like a patient and loving father....like a gud father he loves his children and is willing to help them......wenever we r doing something wrong,he always expect us to repent and correct our mistake...

Lets comeback to our discussion....so how many times u have met god?

i will tell my experience....
we r willing to meet god only wen we r in some kind of trouble...we always pray to god to get things done,to get a gud appraisal,to go to onsite,to get leave,to resolve problems with GF/BF etc...

But is it correct?
how will u feel if one of your friends always come to you only for solving his problems ? But once it is solved he s no more in touch with u,he doesnt even say a thanks for helping him !! he doesnt call u for the party he gave to celebrate his sucess !!!

Wont u feel very bad...i think same will be situation with god..he will be very unhappy with this kind of behaviour from his children..

But as i described earlier god is our loving father ,so he s ready to help us again,he s ready to meet us again..he s eager to help/guide u in ur problems.everyday he looking for a chance to help u..tats wat i meant by god meeting u !!!

So friends, i think its the time to take a decision ...i will thank god each day ,each hour, each minute for giving me all these fortunes..this job, this group of friends, a supporting family,a gud GF/BF...

Am i an MCP???

hey ppl i dont have anything to write, but one of my best friend is bugging me to do this..so i decided i will write something.........
just kidding,to write something serious is very very difficult..,but to write something irritating is very easy !
just for those ppl who wanna comment on my blog i will write something(obviously irritating) :)) and tat too abt some debatable issues!!!
lets speak abt feminism....

......some of my friends call me a MCP(u dont know wat it is,u havent faced a feminist yet)........
lemme try to explain feminism - it is an exclusive luxury available only for women, through which they ask for equal voice/share in everything irrespective of whether they are competent enough or not !!
lets dig a little more into the topic..nowadays most of the people say that women should be given equal share in household decisions..but i got a slightly different view on this.i believe that no two person can take the same decision (am not saying about yes or no decisions)..

......well let me tell u onething peace prevails in a place where there s only one leader, when there s only one leader there wont be any confusions abt the policies, only one person will be taking the decision and everyone else helps to make it a sucess.....
.....so i think most of the problems will be solved in a family when there s only person to take the decision and make the move....well it s my selfishness and experience which says that it shud be the man who shud do it,in consideration with his partner..
u can comment ur views....

Revolt Quote's

Hey people around 5-6 months back,I found some interesting facts about elections…I thought I will share this with my friends !!!
Courtsey::Unknown friend who send me this mail::

This is about one section in the Conduct of Election Rules

Rule No. 49(O) in the Conduct of Election Rules 1961 says:
"Elector deciding not to vote - If an elector, after his electoral roll number has been duly entered in the register of voters in Form 17 A and has put his signature or thumb impression thereon as required under sub-rule (1) of rule 49L, decided not to record his vote, a remark to this effect shall be made against the said entry in Form 17A by the presiding officer, and the signature or thumb impression of the elector shall be obtained against such remark. "

Explanation:

In other words, a voter can go to the polling station and tell the presiding officer that he/she does not wish to cast her/his vote. The presiding officer will make a remark that the voter does not wish to vote and take the voter's signature against his/her name in the register of voters (Form 17A). At the end of the day, the presiding officer will, in totalling the number of votes cast, also include the number of electors who refused to cast their vote. By doing so, voters make it clear to all political parties that they are not satisfied with the kind of candidates put up by them. Though they have done their duty as citizens by going to the polling station, they have not found anyone on the ballot paper who deserves their vote. This is the Protest Vote.

If large numbers of citizens exercise their franchise in this manner, political parties will be forced to be far more careful in ensuring they do not nominate crooks and criminals or incompetents as their candidates next time round…..

And say out of 100 people only 40 people turn to vote and out of that the Candidate receives 30 votes. Then by rule, he's been declared as elected. But say, if out of the 100 people 70 turn to vote. And 30 people vote for the candidate and the other 40 people use section 49(0), to say i am not interested in any of the candidate. Then if, the candidates vote (which the vote he got i.e., 30) is less than the vote against him (under section 49(0) - which is 40), then by rule he would not be elected as winner and in turn he would not be able to participate in anymore further elections. And the election for CITY A will be re-held with fresh candidates. Now that sounds great handle for people!!

an enGineEr's noStaLgiA

.let me remind every1 tat we(most of us) passed out in last may so one year is over...we r not any more freshers...for some it may be a gud news(they can luk for jobs with experienced candidate tag)...

i will tell u wat all changes happened to me in this one year ...my job profile is SALES..so the electronics engineer in me is dying,am becoming a person who s gud in building relationships, managaing resources etc....only when customer ask some techincal clarification the engineer comes alive.Nowadays am more concerned abt numbers - the targets i have to meet the orders i have to book and ofcourse my bonus, which in turn depends on all the above...gone are the days when i was worried abt the value of capacitor, the gain of the circuit etc...

my boss has told me that i shudnt be sitting in office anymore rather i shud be travelling meeting customers n all...travelling in the sense it starts from TVM and ends in Kolkatta...so i think in the coming days i wont get time to orkut, novels n all...so dont be surprised if i call one morning saying tat am in ur town...

and i am sure everyone of us is missing our College...sleeping in he class,geTTing uP late, ladkiyon ko CHedNa,Bunking the classs, late night studies etc.......the GuD Old DaYs.....
